Fall Days

I can't believe the first week of November is over. The time change has made it seem as though the days are just going by faster and faster! I wish I could slow time, especially now as we approach the Holidays. It's such a great time of year, with all the family that visits and the excitement of Christmas, that I would like it to last just a little longer. Camryn is growing fast too. She had her four month check up on Wednesday, even though she's five months old now, and like her siblings, is long and thin. She in the 90% for height and 50% for weight and now has THREE teeth. They are all on the bottom which is really funny. She is my first baby to stray from the normal pattern of two on bottom, two on top ... maybe this is a sign of things to come. She'll be the one who marches to her own beat, although that seems true for all of them. She has definitely been the happiest of all our babies. Constantly smiling and charming strangers by reaching out for them ... little do they know that she really just wants to pull their hair or gnaw on their finger. She continues to be quite laid back and content, a vast contrast from what we experienced with the other three. My only concern: it appears she is going to be crawling much earlier than her siblings! Time to get out the baby gates and pick up the Legos.

Mammie and PopPop arrived Thursday morning. Jon and Will joined them for lunch yesterday while Ben and Kate were at school and I was home letting Camryn nap. Will enjoyed having some one-on-one time with them until the 'big' kids got home. We spent the afternoon outside in the 77 degree weather and enjoyed a nice walk in the neighborhood. This morning we all got up and out of the house by 7am to have breakfast at Charlotte Latin before Ben started school. Ben was excited to show off his school and buy us all breakfast with his PIN, he's so grown up. Dottie and Steve continue on from breakfast to spend the day with Kristine, Chris and Logan while we went about our normal Friday routine. We plan to spend the day up there tomorrow and then Sunday at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. I'm hoping this warm weather continues through the weekend. It's been absolutely perfect!
